Garuda Indonesia makes its five in a row

Exemplary inflight cabin service is what sets great airlines apart from the pack. Indonesia’s national flag carrier, Garuda Indonesia, has made it five in a row, scooping the World’s Best Cabin Crew title for the fifth consecutive year by Skytrax.
The award has been retained by Garuda Indonesia since 2014 making it the first global airline to hold this recognition continuously while maintaining it’s ranking for 2018 in the top 10 World’s Best Airlines list.
The World’s Best Cabin Crew 2018 award was presented by CEO of Skytrax Edward Plaisted to CEO and President of Garuda Indonesia, Pahala N. Mansury in London this week. coinciding with the biggest event airshow in the world; Farnborough Airshow 2018.

The recognition of Garuda Indonesia as World’s Best Cabin Crew 2018 is based on the assessment through a Customer Satisfaction Survey conducted by Skytrax globally involving more than 18 million passengers. The annual survey is conducted on more than 245 international airlines and measures 41 major aspects related to products and services provided by airlines.
Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted says the “World’s Best Cabin Crew” award is one of the most prestigious honours in the world of aviation. To have secured this award for five consecutive years is remarkable and unprecedented and the staff and management of Garuda should be enormously proud of this achievement.

Presenting a new standard of service quality in airline travel, Indonesia’s flag-carrier is a premium full service airline offering 5-star service including in-flight entertainment, meals and beverages, and a generous baggage allowance for all classes with additional for sporting equipment. The carrier flies to over 36 International destinations and 40 domestic destinations. For Kiwi travellers, Garuda Indonesia departs Sydney, Melbourne and Perth direct to Jakarta 4-5 times per week and direct to Denpasar 5-7 times per week.
