The 10-day Easter Extravaganza: 3 days annual leave for 10 days holiday
For the first time in a long time, the Easter weekend (Friday 19 April to Monday 22 April) coincides with school holidays. With Anzac Day just two days later (Thurs 25 April), families can take advantage of a 10-day trip by booking just three days of annual leave. For those celebrating Southland anniversary day (23 April), you can get the same leave for just two days off work!

Two for the Long Weekend Legends: 2 days annual leave for 8 days holiday
With the Labour Day and Queen’s Birthday both falling on a Monday, you can turn those long weekends into four-day staycations by booking one day off work. Locals celebrating their town’s anniversary weekend can get tick off an extra trip, and even better bang for their buck by making the most of the long weekends at different points in the year.
The Ultimate Christmas Gift: 7 days leave for 17 days holiday
It may feel too soon to start planning December holidays just yet, but savvy New Zealanders can enjoy a 17-day holiday by taking just seven days of annual leave – from Friday 20 December to Monday 6 January 2020. It’s the peak summer period, so go long haul and see off the year in style!
For just 18 days of annual leave, Kiwis can enjoy more than double their days off, with 45 days of holiday to explore even further in 2019.
