The York by Swiss-Belsuites, Sydney is an apartment hotel in city centre offering comfort and convenience of apartment style accommodation. Offering generously spacious apartments with full amenities for the business traveller, the hotel is top class with modern facilities.

Located at the juncture of York and Jamison streets, entrance to the hotel is on Jamison street smack in the middle of Sydney. Closest train station is Wynyard station and the airport line connects to this station. Surrounded by a vibrant neighbourhood of Sydney, the hotel is set to impress.

A taxi ride from Sydney  airport costs approx AU$75.00-$85.00 depending on the time of the day. An Uber ride would cost between $40 to $50.

The entrance of the hotel is inviting with polished granite flooring and high ceiling. The ambient lighting sets the mood after a long flight. Attentive and professional staff ensure a quick check-in. As you work your way up into the hotel.

The York by Swiss-Belsuites boasts of one of the most spacious residences in Sydney. With a choice of studio to three bedrooms – these residences are ideal if you’re in the city for a short stay or for extended lengths of time. They are fully equipped with Kitchen and laundry facilities.

My choice was the Deluxe One Bedroom Apartment that comprises of a large bedroom with a queen bed.

The semi-soft mattress adorned with crisp cotton linen offered great comfort and sleep. The room also comprised of a television and a desk for soaking up some relaxing time watching those favourite channels.

Well appointed cotton bathrobes are available as well.

And an in-room iron and stand.

The spacious bathroom comprises of a bath-tub and shower

A washer and dryer provides the additional flexibility and convenience of having laundry ready when its required.

There is a work desk in the bedroom  with easy-reach desk-level outlets for power-hungry laptops. However, there were no USB/HDMI charge points available in this apartment.

There is an independent internet wireless modem present in the studio that provides for lightning fast internet unlike central internet facilities in some hotels. Internet is complimentary in-room.

One Bedroom apartments have a fully functional kitchen enabling full cooking facilities.

The fridge also stocks the mini-bar that has refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

The York by Swiss-Belsuites has an exclusive charge back deal with the Hungry Bean Cafe across the road at 45 Clarence Street and one can charge-back to the room. The cafe serves a sumptuous range of snacks, breakfast and is open from 7am to 4pm.

Other dining options are a short walk from the hotel in The Rocks precinct where stylish bistros and brasseries serve delicious Australian and international fare.

The York by Swiss-Belsuites boasts of a open terrace swimming pool which is a great place to relax and rejuvenate under the Sydney sun. There is also a fully functional cardio equipment workout room.

The hotel offers spectacular views and the higher the floor the better views specially at night time with the Sydney lights.

If you’re in Sydney for business or leisure and in the lookout for accommodation that provides exceptional value at great rates then The York by Swiss-Belsuites ticks all the boxes. Its location and proximity to the the action makes it a top preference for business as well as leisure.
