Sheraton Maria Isabel lies the at the heart of the Mexican capital, a full-service five-star international hotel, ideally equipped for business travellers, who consistently rate it highly, as a trusted, proven home away from home.

You could not wish for a better-situated hotel in the city just in front of the “Angel de la Independencia” monument. Sheraton Mexico City Maria Isabel is the ideal point of departure to live and walk this breathtaking city. It’s just a 30 minute drive to Mexico International Airport. Average cab fare is US$12.

At the hotel entrance to the hotel you’re met by an efficient, welcoming concierge team who quickly take care of the baggage as you walk to through the marbled lobby to check-in. Highly attentive and professional staff will breeze you through the check-in, with a dedicated desk for Marriott Bonvoy members. At peak times, this 756-roomed hotel can lead to some delays at reception.

The long marbled lobby entrance exudes elegance and style, complemented but magnificent artwork and furniture. A grab and go coffee cart opposite reception is ideal for travellers in a rush, while the hotel has a variety of dining venues for those with more time on their side.

Despite being a big hotel, there are numerous rest areas and quiet lounge spaces, stylishly furnished with leather sofas and luxury arm chairs.

Sheraton Maria Isabel offers a wide variety and guestrooms and suites, including business deluxe rooms, suites and penthouses.

All guestrooms are generously appointed with creature comforts and stylish furnishings. My Business Deluxe Club Lounge guestroom had been recently renovated, feature almost twice the amount of space as a standard guest room, with a  separate living and dining areas, plus a marble bathtub in the bathroom.

A fully stocked up mini-bar with international beverages is ready at your disposal. An ironing board, electric iron, trouser press, hair dryer, robe and slippers are all at your disposal. A good-sized flat-screen was loaded with DirectTV cable channels.

I slept like a baby in a super-comfortable king-sized bed with crisp linens and luxury bedding. And absolutely loved the panoramic city views out the window.

Being a preferred place to stay by business travellers, guestrooms are superbly equipped with  tech-features. The work desk and chair proved comfortable for several hours of work with easy-reach desk-level outlets for power-hungry laptops. There are numerous USB charge points that enable for fast charging of devices.

Room lighting and the natural window light is more than conducive to desk work, along with iPod/iPad docking, USB power points and power sockets, sprinkled all over the room. WIFI internet is complementary.

For extended work days or casual meetings, the Sheraton Club is a magnificent executive lounge with exclusive privileges, including bar, tea and coffee making facilities and light eats all through the day.

The hotel accommodates affairs of all sizes thanks to its 29 spacious meeting rooms, including a renovated ballroom, one of the country’s largest.

The hotel’s business centre is generously equipped with all the office and communication requirements you could need, while the on-site fitness centre and swimming pool will give you a great work-out. Plus the Sheraton Club has laptop and printer facilities, at your disposal.

The hotel sports a dynamic variety of exciting restaurants, including Amici, Sheraton Club and our Manhattan Deli. The Jorongo bar is ever-popular with guests who love to watch the authentic Mexican Mariachi show, while dining on authentic Mexican dishes.

Ristorante Amici is all about signature Italian fare, the NYC-inspired dining of Manhattan Restaurant is casual but stylish, while elevated Japanese delicacies take the spotlight at Sushi Bar.

If you can’t decide, plump for the globally inspired Club Lounge where menus feature a little bit of everything.

I absolutely loved the elaborately but elegantly array of treats laid out, buffet-style, for breakfast at the Sheraton Club.

Magnificent fresh tropical fruit, cold cuts, cereals, pastries, smoothies and juices plus a stunning array of authentic Mexican dishes and international classics.

Sheraton Maria Isabel is the complete package, with all bases covered for the discerning business traveller. Effervescent, warm customer service meet super-comfy accommodations and luxury guest facilities, world-class dining and a primo location that is simply unbeatable. In anyone’s language, it’s a winning establishment.
